Potain Cranes Portland

During 1928 within La Clayette, France, the company Potain was born. Since then, Potain has been the world leader in tower crane production. They are responsible for over 100,000 cranes installed and sold all-around the globe. Now, the company makes more than 60 models from various production facilities inside France, China, Germany, Italy and Portugal. The company represents many different product ranges designed for various applications. These machinery are sold through a global Manitowoc dealer network.



The Potain family makes 3 different tower crane families. The self-erecting cranes are the smallest ones in the Potain range. These cranes vary from 1 ton to 7.98 ton capacity. The next size up is the top-slewing cranes which are both larger and higher. These cranes range from 7.98 to 64 tons. Furthermore, these are the largest custom-made special application cranes. These units offer a reach capacity of 160 tons.



The company's top innovations consist of LLC series of hoists, the Dialog control system and the Vision Cab. The growing reputation of the company has expanded their appeal with various models. Potain cranes are usually found on conventional construction sites, power stations, bridge building projects, ship-building projects and shipbuilding yards.



Two of Manitowac's largest facilities are based in the United States. Their manufacturing facility is based in the state of Wisconsin. In this state, both the tower crane parts and crawler cranes are constructed within Pennsylvania in the Shady Grove facility. Here boom trucks and mobile cranes are manufactured. Regional offices are situated in Brazil and in Mexico. Moreover, the extensive dealer network situated all around the United States and Canada offers coverage and support unrivalled by any other crane manufacturer.
