Designed for Safety
Yale is famous for providing safe lift trucks that are adaptable and flexible for various tasks and applications. The ability to manufacture and design models for enhanced safety comes from the new technology which is available in the material handling business and the company's experience.
In their newest designs, Yale has started integrating newly available technologies. Several of the new technologies that are available are first applied to forklift trucks and then later proven further through functionality and durability testing. The company performs many controlled field tests and reliability development in order to make sure that their products are very safe.
Some of Yale's new designs and technology which has been incorporated as standard features for their fleet in order to enhance overall safety include the following:
Operator Compartment Controls and Ergonomics
The operator compartment has been engineered with ergonomics in mind, using state-of-the-art technology. These designs help to guarantee that the operator avoids fatigue and heavy repetitive motions. These extra comforts help to increase overall efficiency.
Adjustable Operators Controls and Compartment
Adjustable operator controls enable the operators to choose the positioning of their necessary controls. This helps make the machine user friendly, regardless of who is operating it. Before beginning their shift, the operator can make certain he or she is as comfortable as possible.
Operator Presence System
Yale's hydraulic system operation called the Operator Presence System prevents the use of the machine if the operator is not in the correct operating position. This presence system also disables directional travel on IC engine truck units.
Swing-Out LPG Tank Bracket
The liquid propane gas tank has a drop down design which brings it out from the vehicle's center to the natural handling position of the operator that makes it far easier to change.
