Narrow Aisle Forklift
A narrow aisle forklift is used for lowering and lifting loaded pallets from high storage spaces. This model is recommended for work places with narrow spaces between aisles, like warehouses or retail environments. The forklift has small, solid rubber tires that make maneuvering very easy.
Generally, the operator of this particular kind of forklift stands up in a small cockpit. The stand-up design enables the narrow aisle forklift to be as narrow ans short as possible. A stand-up cockpit forklift normally has three tires: one in the back, and two in the front. This design enables for fast and easy maneuvering. There are some models of these forklifts that come with a sit-down cockpit. The lift attachment is capable of pivoting to the sides, permitting the lift to be operated without the operator having to move the entire equipment. The sit-down model generally has four wheels.
An electric engine is used to power many narrow aisle forklifts. Electric-powered machines do not make exhaust fumes and are quiet, making them the suitable option for closed areas like for instance retail spaces. Several lifts come with a diesel engine or a gas engine. Then again, the diesel version is not suggested to be utilized indoors because it could be noisy and produce exhaust.
